ITT for the Supply of Energy Efficient Lighting for Roadways, Government Compounds, Sports Facilities and a Roadway Tunnel on Montserrat
Description
MUL is considering the following exterior public lighting options to improve lighting efficiency, quality, coverage and to reduce overall maintenance:
1. Upgrade current HPS luminaires (lamp, ballasts, fixture housings, and mounting arms) with new, more energy efficient and longer-lasting LED-based luminaires with equivalent or better photometric performance.
2. Install new luminaires and mounting arms where needed.
3. Investigate the possibility and cost effectiveness of additional energy savings through programmed (time-based) dimming.
4. Investigate the possibility and cost-benefits of using stand-alone solar-equipped lighting systems for designated locations.
5. Investigate the possibility and cost-benefits of upgrading the existing time-based control of the airport tunnel lighting with one that works with new LED luminaires targeted for this application.
